Papua New Guinea single origin coffee
A coffee with a sturdy strength featuring nutmeg and cedar tones, spicy chocolate and a prominent mouthfeel. This coffee has an almost syrupy body and slightly earthy notes can be detected which compliment the other flavours beautifully. Papua New Guinea's roasting profile is the darkest of our single origin coffees and is ideal for those who enjoy the chocolate and smokey flavours associated with a darker roast coffee.
This coffee is 100% arabica and has been grown by the Korofeigu farmers co-operative based in the Bena Bena Valley. The coffee is the product of an initiative which also works with farmers in the area to educate and provide help in the areas of HIV/AIDS, financial management, gender equality, coffee husbandry and certification standards & procedures. Coffees grown in this area benefit from the shade of native trees, mountain altitudes, a humid climate and naturally occurring loam soil.
